Everything is an opportunity. Everything that we experience is an opportunity to grow or shrink. Most people are much better at shrinking than growing. If you ask most people to describe themselves in 10 positive words they will have a tough time. If; however, you asked them to describe themselves in negative terms they can do it very easily. More than that, the words that are negative will be much more graphic and much more powerful than the positive words.
Fear often comes when we feel unprepared. Get prepared, get ready, and watch the fear disappear. Rather than try to control your environment so that bad things won’t happen, Spend time cultivating the confidence that will allow you to know that no matter what happens you have what it takes to respond.
Ask, Seek, And Knock!
Success is often just a little bit outside of our comfort zones. Are you willing to go that extra mile for yourself? Are you willing to go the extra mile for others? Are you willing to go the extra mile for God!
Which one are you?
Make sure you plan your work and work your plan.
Too many times we rush into something without a plan. We get frustrated because we did not plan for obstacles. Make sure you take the time to prepare for the journey. You would never leave for a summer vacation without planning out every detail. Isn’t your life worth planning?
Contrary to what most people believe, success and failure are not in different directions. Success comes from good decisions. Good decisions often come from what we learn. And, we often learn more from our mistakes than from the success we experience.
There are no real mistakes in life. What we have are opportunities to learn. Rather than worry about mistakes, make sure you learn the proper life lessons.
Fear and doubt often cause us to make mistakes. The biggest mistake is not even attempting. Make sure that you are ready for the fear and doubts that will come your way. Be ready to move on in spite of your fear.
It has often been said that if you don’t plan to win, then plan to fail. So often, we end up where we don’t want to be because we fail to plan. Goal setting is a great way to make sure your ladder is not leaning against the wrong metaphorical wall. After goal setting make sure you constantly check in to make sure you know where you are on your journey.
There are no shortcuts to the places that really matter.
Never stop believing in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself, nobody else will.
Faith is the first in everything.
Make sure you define success as being who you were created to be. Never let others put you in a box. Never let others define who you are. And, be careful not to put yourself in a box.
Never forget that you have gifts that are singularly unique in all of creation. The gifts are from God, how you use your gifts is your gift back to God.
Will you like what you see when you life flashes in front of your eyes, or will you close your eyes in horror?
